Hello Gunfighters!!
Its time!!!! Seems like it’s been too long since
we’ve met on “Boothill” and slapped leather. Well…. “Wait no more”!!!! Old Dominion Fast
Draw (ODFD) is looking forward to a fantastic 2012!!! We have monthly matches scheduled, as well as several “extra”
shoots going on! Not to mention our“Cowboy Fast Draw 2012 State Championship” scheduled for July 6th,
7th, and 8th!!! See our website for the complete schedule. Keep posted for additions and changes!!!
We are getting started with practice scheduled
for this Wednesday, the 11th from 6-9pm. It will be in “Boothill Alley” at the Roanoke Rifle and Revolver
Club (RRRC). The fee for practice is $10 with an additional fee of $10 if you use club ammo. Please note the increase of fee
for ammo used during practice evenings.
Our first Match of 2012 is scheduled for Sunday, January
15th!! The match will also be held in “Boothill Alley” and registration will begin at 8:30am, safety
meeting at 9:30, and the match will begin at 10am. The fee for the match is $25 with a discount of $5 if you are an ODFD or
RRRC Member. All Founding or Lifetime Member discounts will apply to the discounted price. There is an additional fee of $5
if you use ODFD ammo. Everyone will shoot six rounds, and the top 7 place shooters from each division will meet on the line
in a Championship Format to battle it out for awards given to the top 3 places. The entire match will be shot at 15 feet.
We also will have raffle tickets available there
for sale to win a “Spaghetti Western CFDA Rig” from Red Dog Leather. They are $10 each, or 3 for $25. This is
to help us raise money for our Club Trailer and portable range.
Should be an exciting first match of the year!!!
